I grew up in Eastern North Carolina and graduated North Carolina State University in Architecture (1975) then became a builder in Raleigh, NC for a few years. Went kayaking all day having so much fun in the white water, I forgot my legs. They were dead when I finally paddled ashore. Couldn't walk. Someone helped me to the car and drove me to see Dr. Neal, an Activator chiropractor. He got me well in a few visits. I was impressed!

After that, I went to a healing arts fair in Chapel Hill North Carolina. Met a chiropractor there and I remembered the longing. The longing to help people to heal. Without thinking, I gave away my construction company and went to visit Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta (Marietta, GA). Four years later, I came out the other end, and they called me Doctor.
